      In the opinion of many people, it now appears that Microsoft's new release of their Xbox 360 Slim (as it's unofficial nickname) or Xbox 360 as its Official status is what's known as a smart but pointless release. In terms of it's new design the 'New Xbox 360 has really come upmarket it an attractive way, the new sleek design really does make it a proud member of your Entertainment Area and boosts that professional look, but it's Piano Black finish really does become an ''A class'' finger magnet and after polish disintegrates the delicate finish leaving small but somewhat annoying petite scratches. However these are only visible in direct sunlight and where direct light does not face the Xbox those marks fade away. Microsoft have clearly focused on all aspects of designing the New Xbox 360 and its new power button becomes an elegant sight when light is reflected on it. The rearrangement of the USB 2.0 slots have been rotated to face vertically which makes it easier to access them. Adjacent to this is the controller sync buttuon which is now larger as result making it easier to operate.
     At the rear of the console there is the normal Network cable and HDMI cable composite video. Newly installed however, is the new port for Microsoft's Kinect, which will disable the need for an adapter which earlier releases will need. Also 3 USB 2.0 slots have been fitted for maximum use with controllers and data mass storage devices. Microsoft have clearly listened to users and as a result have fitted and Optical audio cable separate from its past place on the Composite cable. The power cable has also been replaced to a new version. The exterior power supply has also been changed it's grill reduced but not greatly changed no longer being shiny.
     To the side of the Xbox the grill has become bigger and has become very sleef in terms of looks. It is now larger and this enables for heat to be dispersed from the system while it operates. This helps but not drastically as it seems that after 10 minutes of play the system still seems to heat up. On inspection however it is clear that more heat is being removed than its earlier predecessors and as result making it cooler but not drastically.
